Kristin Goetz, APRN-CNP

Hello, my name is Kristin Goetz, and I am a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner and Emergency Nurse Practitioner. I was born and raised, in Abbyville, and continue to live there currently with my family. My husband, Mick, and I were married in 2009 and we have been blessed with four very active children. We have a son, Lucas, and three little girls, Alexis, Olivia, and Elaina Grace. We farm, and raise cattle, in addition to working our “big-kid jobs.” My husband is a contractor and he started Mick Goetz Carpentry in 2008.

I graduated from Fairfield High School, in 2005, and started my education at Hutchinson Community College. I graduated in 2007 with an Associates degree, and followed by attending Bethel College for a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing degree, completing it in 2009. I then attended Walden University where I graduated with a Master’s of Science in Nursing Degree in 2014. I have worked in Emergency Medicine, most of my career, but essentially I knew that I wanted to do more.

As a Nurse Practitioner, I was initially limited to only working under a physician, until June of 2022. At this time, Governor Kelly was able to pass a bipartisan bill that eliminated the regulatory barriers that previously restricted the scope of practice for Nurse Practitioners, therefore improving access to healthcare and giving Nurse Practitioners full practice authority. This was a huge step forward, for all Nurse Practitioners, and essentially was the start of my ultimate dream. I have always lived in rural Reno County, and I have seen the need for more accessible, and affordable, health care providers. Being a “small-town gal,” I essentially wanted to be able to bring my knowledge and experience to my community and provide, this type of essential health care.

Therefore, in November of 2022, KG Medical LLC was established and we opened the doors as a full Family Practice and Urgent Care clinic. Opening this clinic has been one of the most rewarding experiences I have had in my life. It has allowed me to share my knowledge, and passion about medicine, and I have met some incredible people along the way. I have been blessed with more time with my family, and it has given me a sense of purpose, that I never knew I needed. Here at KG Medical, I strive to give patients the time and quality health care that everyone deserves. It is my goal to help change the way patients look, feel, and think about medicine, and essentially the healthcare system in general. I think that it is essential for patients to be seen, heard, and involved in their treatment plan and plan of care. Here at KG Medical, we are a very family-oriented practice, and we love getting to know about you and your family. We are always looking for ways to improve patients healthcare, including their physical, mental, and social well-being.

As a patient, of KG Medical, you will not be treated as a number, but rather as an individual whose health concerns are warranted and justified. There is no “cookie-cutter recipe,” when it comes to medicine and each treatment plan will be customized to fit your needs.
